Thomas Rupp has worked as an Employee Benefits Advisor at Brown & Brown of Michigan since 2005. In this role, his primary focus is on helping businesses solve their employee benefits challenges to meet their financial goals.
Tom earned his Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. He is licensed in Life & Health Insurance in the state of Michigan. He is also a licensed Accident & Health Counselor.
Tom understands that businesses compete for the best talent in the workforce. He knows that proper benefits planning can lead to high productivity, less turnover and greater financial protection for employees and their families. He represents both fully-insured and self-insured clients with ten to 10,000 employees. Tom and his Brown & Brown team help their clients to deliver excellent benefits at the lowest cost, which gives those businesses a measurable competitive advantage.
Tom’s favorite part of the job is helping employees maximize their benefits with better tools and knowledge of their plans. He also enjoys working with unique organizations. Tom feels that Brown & Brown’s publicly-traded leverage combined with decentralized local market knowledge and delivery results in outstanding coverage, price and customer experience.
Tom is very involved in the local community. He is a member of several organizations, such as the Fenton Area Regional Chamber of Commerce (Board of Directors, Business Development Committee) and the Fenton Area Toastmasters Group. Outside of the office, he enjoys playing sports and spending time at the lake. Tom and his wife Amanda have three young children.
